We get a lot of questions from customers wondering how much mulch to order. There are a lot of things you can do, like measure your beds and calculate how much you need. Some customers have a hard time with this and some landscape beds are odd shaped and hard to measure. Most people like a visual representation of what they may need to order. So we did a video showing customers what several different mulch piles look like in yards. We hope this helps in the ordering process. Also, below are several different photographs which may also help give you a good visual.
We also have a mulch yard measuring chart you can look at and download to assist you with measuring your beds to see how much mulch you need. Click on the button below to view this form.
In these images shown, you will notice a wheel barrel. This wheel barrel is put in the photo to give you a size perspective. The wheel barrel holds 6 cubic feet of mulch. 4 and 1/2 of these wheel barrels would equal 1 cubic yard of mulch or 27 cubic feet.
In this photo, Our two yard bucket is on the left and our one yard bucket is on the right with their respective mulch piles in front.
